FACEIT ELO at stake, measured from your own matches

Atlas for FACEIT shows how much ELO a match is really worth to you before it starts. Instead of a formula, it measures what wins and losses have actually given and cost you in your recent ranked matches, and shows your ELO, level and distance to Challenger wherever you are on FACEIT.

Why a formula isn't enough

FACEIT doesn't publish a fixed rule for ELO changes, and in practice the gains and losses vary from match to match. A calculator built on a fixed formula can show a confident number that doesn't match what you'll actually see after the game. Atlas takes a different approach: it looks at your own recent ranked matches and reports the typical (median) change for a win and for a loss.

ELO at stake in the match room

In the match room, Atlas shows:

  • ELO at stake — your median ELO for a win and for a loss, and how many recent ranked matches that's based on
  • Average ELO of both teams, side by side, and the difference between them
  • FACEIT's own win probability, when FACEIT publishes it, clearly labelled as FACEIT's

ELO and level, always in view

Next to your avatar in FACEIT's top bar, Atlas shows your level, ELO and last change. Hover it for the bar up to Challenger, the ELO still needed, and your rank in your region and country from FACEIT's ranking.

Progression on every profile

On any player profile, Atlas adds the level ladder up to Challenger (the ELO of the region's 1000th player) and #1, with how far that player is from each, their career matches and wins, and their position in the country and region rankings.

How to use it

  1. Install Atlas for FACEIT from the Chrome Web Store.

Questions

Is ELO at stake a prediction?

No. It's a measurement of your own recent ranked matches — the median ELO you gained in wins and lost in losses — shown together with how many matches it's based on.

Why doesn't Atlas use the classic ELO formula?

Because FACEIT's real ELO changes don't follow a fixed public formula. Showing a formula result as if it were exact would be guessing.

Where does the rank in my country come from?

From FACEIT's own ranking. Atlas reads it and shows it; it doesn't calculate its own ranking.
